Meet the Staff… 2008/2009

Mrs. Cuccaro, Director
has a degree in Early Childhood Education, with a Minor in Music. She has worked at Christ Church Preschool for nineteen years. She was Lead Teacher of the three-year-olds, Lead Teacher of the four-year-olds, and currently is the Director.

In the 3-year-old classroom:

Mrs.Paternoster, Lead Teacher has a degree in Early Childhood Education, with a Minor in Psychology. This is her twelfth year at Christ Church Preschool.
Mrs.Tessitore, Assistant Teacher has a degree in Elementary Education, with a minor in Art. She has been assisting with the threes for thirteen years.

In the 4-year-old classroom:

Mrs. Paul, Lead Teacher has a Child Development Associate Credential. She previously taught a four-year-old program in Texas. This is her sixth year at our school.
Mrs. Harner, Assistant Teacher has been at our school for two years. Her past experience includes preschool assistant at an area preschool, and playground monitor at our elementary school.

Mrs. Jacob, Teacher's Aide is in her second year at our school. She is attending classes to complete a degree in Early Childhood Education. She has experience in a childcare program and an after school program.

Mrs. Petrie, Teacher's Aide is in her second year at our school. She has volunteered in the Oxford schools.

All staff members are required to participate in continuing education classes, workshops, and seminars every year. We are members of the National Association for the Education of Young Children and the Southwestern Connecticut Association for the Education of Young Children. In addition, we subscribe to many professional publications, which allows us to be up-to-date in the latest educational theories and practices.
